The construction of Munn’s collages requires an intricate multi-step process that is not immediately obvious to the viewer. Using a large format camera she takes multiple negatives of the same subject from different perspectives. In camera the artist explores numerous analogue techniques such as double and triple exposures. Then in the darkroom Munn prints each negative by hand using variable tones, focuses and magnifications. Her collages often incorporate additional darkroom techniques such as photogram's, cliché verre and combination printing. Finished with beeswax and oil paint Munn’s collages are exhibited unframed and tangible.
